sajja (2019) Art Installation

sajja or e-sajja : ‘raíz’ "roots" "radice" in the ese ejja language.
Ese ejja is an indigenous Tacana language spoken by the elders in amazonia of Bolivia and Peru.
At an unprecedented speed, the Amazonian environment and cultural diversity is being razed to extinction.
Installation made out through Amazonian roots, frozen water with ashes, earth, carbon ink and oil.

If the Entrails of the Inscrutable were cleansed, every thing would appear to man as it is: Infinite
Once the sin against God was the greatest sin; but God died, and these sinners died with him. To sin against the earth is now the most dreadful thing, and to esteem the entrails of the unknowable higher than the meaning of the earth... (Friedrich Nietzsche - Zaratustra)
